Andrew Newton has more than 40 years experience in hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Seen Worldwide, he has hypnotised more than 62,000 people and over 6000 public and TV appearances. In the UK, he has sold out some Britain’s major theatres, including the Manchester Apollo, Edinburgh Playhouse and Liverpool Empire. At the world famous Leeds City Varieties, he has performed a record-breaking 340 shows.
He has completed 39 tours of Australia and New Zealand and for the last 20 years has been based in Cape Town, South Africa, where he is based most of the year.
What isn’t generally known is that Andrew is a Member of the Royal Society of Medicine and has an International reputation as one of the world’s leading authorities on hypnosis.
Away from the stage, he is senior lecturer in hypnosis at Hypnoseakademiet, based in Oslo, Norway – Europe’s leading Hypnotherapy and EFT training school, a position he has held since 2008. He taught Paul McKenna and more than two hundred hypnotherapists worldwide.
He has worked in Clinical Hypnotherapy in Harley Street, London specialising in hypnosis for weight loss, the treatment of deep trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, achieving positive results in just one session.
He is a regular speaker at Psychology Conferences in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
In 2014 he was invited by the City of Melbourne, Australia, to make four groundbreaking films about changing perception using hypnosis.
In 2015 he accepted a 12-week invitation to teach hypnosis in India at Universities and Institutes of Technology in New Delhi, Jodphur, Rajasthan, Maharaja Sayajira University of Baroda (Vadodara) and Bits Pilani University, Goa.
Andrew Newton is the author of 36 books and over a hundred articles on psychology and hypnosis.
