If you can change the way you think about smoking, you can change the way you feel about smoking… and you’ll be surprised how easy it is to stop.

Andrew Newton’s Smoking Cessation session is simple and convenient, because it’s the last thing you do at night! No one has 45 minutes to put aside every day to listen to a recording… but as you’re going to sleep anyway, all you have to do is turn off the light and listen while the beautifully crafted suggestions take root in your mind.

You’ll also feel better, more determined to succeed, and become a more confident and self-assured person in no time at all!

Within just two weeks of stopping you will notice your body feels fitter and healthier. Your smoking addiction has been like a prison where the door has always been unlocked… so why not just walk free? It’s now time to ask yourself, “who is in control – me or the cigarettes?” because if you can deal with an extreme situation without smoking, then you can deal with anything life throws at you!

If cigarettes were invented tomorrow, they would be banned immediately…

Tobacco is a uniquely dangerous product – the only dangerous product to be sold legally. Here are just some of the things the tobacco companies add to cigarettes: Vynil Chloride, Ammonia, Shellac, Phosphorus, Zylene, Cadmium, Arsenic, Turpentine, Acetone, Butane, Beeswax, Formaldehyde, Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Cyanide and Nitric Acid.

Smoking replaces oxygen in the blood with carbon monoxide. Filters also contain dangerous chemicals and carcinogens. It’s ironic that something that is supposed to protect you is joining the attack. Smoking increases the risk of cancer. You have only one body, so abuse it at your peril. Would you normally consider suicide? Even cigarette companies and their advertising agencies admit that smoking kills. And guess what? Not one tobacco company executive smokes!

Smoking costs you more than just your health. If you smoke 20 cigarettes a day (the national average) that will cost you £60 per week, £240 per month, £2880 per year! This is like paying an extra tax!

It’s not the nicotine that’s the real addiction, it’s the habit, and habits can be broken just as easily as they were formed in the first place. People also smoke because of stress or boredom. Most people are social smokers so smoking is associated with other pleasant social situations, or even just having a coffee.

If you smoke because you’re stressed, you’re fooling yourself because when you’ve finished the cigarette, the problem that created the stress in the first place will still be there. Believe it or not, it’s the first inhalation that gives you the instant gratification. The nicotine ‘hit’ only lasts for about 7 seconds! After the first few puffs many people ask themselves “why am I bothering to finish this?” and yet they carry on puffing away. After all, you paid all that money for it and it would be rude to waste it…

Do you remember the first cigarette you ever had? It probably made you feel sick, but you smoked it anyway because your friends were doing it and you didn’t want to be left out. The chances are, you were feeling sick too but no-one wanted to admit it! Smokers say they enjoy it but when pressed they find it impossible to explain why.

Giving up smoking should come as a huge relief – It may have seemed like a faithful friend, but it’s been a false friend, and one that you’d be better off without. Giving up cigarettes is not a sacrifice!

We are constantly bombarded with information from all sorts of sources telling us it’s hard to give up. People exaggerate the difficulty of stopping smoking, but this is an illusion! The dependency on cigarettes is always psychological, not physiological. Remember – it’s the habit not the nicotine.

On a long-haul flight, in a meeting, or at the cinema, do you really miss a cigarette? Do you wake up every 30 minutes during the night craving a cigarette? How would you feel if you discovered someone was stealing money from you and poisoning you at the same time?

The idea that there will be terrible withdrawal symptoms is a myth. People are irritated by life’s troubles, not by going without a cigarette. In other words, if you expect to feel this way, the odds are you probably will! This is just your own expectation and it’s a trick your own mind plays on you. But hypnosis can change all this – permanently.

All smokers experience cravings, but these are only momentary – they only last for a few seconds and disappear very quickly. The physical withdrawal symptoms from nicotine last only a few hours and therefore the physical withdrawal is negligible. Doing without cigarettes gets easier as time goes on, not harder.

Of course if you had the willpower, you wouldn’t need hypnosis! Hypnosis is not a miracle cure – to succeed, you need a little commitment and determination! The hypnosis will help you to maintain your resolve.
